J. M. Ford

"John Marshal Ford was Grandpa's father.  He was the oldest of 11 Children and they lived on a farm.  He used to tell stories about his mother telling him to get his gun and go shoot a rabbit for her to
make some stew for supper. He was a happy man always seemed to be enjoying life.  He was the strong head of his home and everyone respected him.  He was a strong Christian and always enjoyed his
church life as a deacon in the Baptist church.  I liked him very much and he always made me feel very welcome when we would visit them in Waco. He never wanted anyone to think he was retired and would never admit being retired."

Brick Stone

"That's an awesome picture of my grandfather!  I'm so sorry that you all didn't know him.  He was pretty much perfect! He loved Christ and his family, worked hard, appreciated fine things, and watched wrestling on television."
-Adrienne

"Brick Stone was not my father's real name.  His name was Harold Aubrey
Stone and he did not like his name.  He got his name of Brick on the
school yard play ground when he got in a fight with another little boy
and hit his finger with a brick, and so the kids started calling him
Brick  He actually liked that name better, so always used it when
introducing himself.  My daddy was a wonderful father.  He loved his
family and he loved the Lord. He brought spiritual  things into all
our lives by his example in integrity, in business and friendship.  He
had many friends and he and my mother had many couple friends that
they always enjoyed.  When he was visiting with someone he never got
in a hurry.  Often times he was late for things because he would stay
to talk too long.  He was a hard worker and started working for a
Lumber Company in the valley when he was 14 to help support his family
and continued to work for them until he opened his own lumber company
in the 1940's in Houston.  Later he and his brother, John, started
Stone Supply Company in Houston that sold oil service stations
equipment and that business continued until he died.  He died at age
64 from Congestive Failure and I will always miss him because he was
so special to me."

Cowgirl DJ

Estes Park, Colorado, 1962

"We were loading our Big old green Cadillac with all our blue jeans, etc. to go on a trip to a ranch in Estes Park, Colorado.  Grandpa, Grammy, Adrienne, Dana, and Roger Lewis our friend from Beracaha Church.  He loved to drive, so we invited him to go with us and do all the driving and he took us up on it.  We stayed a week and ate Ranch food and horses were available for those who wanted to ride. At night we played Bingo in the big dining room.  Dana sat on Grandpa's lap and he helped her move the chips and she won a Teddy Bear!!!!!  She was so excited!
I must say she attracted much attention from all the guests in her red Cowboy outfit.  It was a very good, relaxing vacation in the cool weather' except for one night at 2:00 a.m. The desk called Grandpa an asked him to go to a certain room because a lady thought she was having a heart attack!!  She wasn't, but the lady really appreciated his coming to see her."

Photobooth

"These are ancient pictures and I can't possibly remember where we were going, but every time we took a trip we would go to the photo booth and take pictures of everyone that was with us.  Result many many little crazy snap shots would be laying around all over the house.  Too bad I never wrote dates or where we were going on them"
